Speakeasy's Act Up Youth Theatre
'Act Up' is Speakeasy's Youth Theatre drawn from the Saffron Lane and Eyres Monsell areas of Leicester, the same area where Speakeasy's offices are based. The group meets at Southfields Library to mount between three and four productions per year. Past successes have included Macbeth, Dr Faustus and Elektra performed at the Phoenix Arts Centre, versions of classics such as The Crucible and Othello, as well as group devised work, theatre trips and more.

Speakeasy oversee and direct the work of Act Up, support the young people with references for College applications and the like, and provide occasional theatre trips and other extras for the group.
