Learning Disability Speakeasy offer a range of workshops and drama based activities tailored for the Learning Disability sector and have done since the company started in 1996. Our most recent clients include: Mosaic - Learning Disability Services, Gateway College (Broadview Centre), Birkett House at Countesthorpe College, the Federation of Worker Writers and Community Publishers, Leicester City Council, Leicester NHS, Special Olympics Leicester, Leicestershire County Council, Oaklands School and many more... Further recognition of Speakeasy's profile within the sector came this year when our Artistic Director, Andy Reeves, was asked to hand out medals to athletes competing in the 2009 Special Olympics. As well as providing one-off workshops and other projects in the Learning Disability sector, Speakeasy also run the Learning Disabled Theatre Company for Leicester, Movers, who performed as part of the Opening Ceremony of this year's Special Olympics to an audience of 25,000.
