Scene and Heard

This was a performance project devised with adults with learning disabilities as part of an integrated group, led by Jayne Lewis, under the name Moving Out. The project explored issues of positivity, self-determination, and what it feels like to have a disability in today's society; and culminated in  well-attended public performances at Melton College.

'Scene and Heard' was funded by  the Arts Council, with additional support from Melton Borough Council, Melton Mowbray Building Society and Leicestershire County Council.

There was a final chance to see the performance at Melton's 'Painting the Town Red' Festival On September 11th, 2004 at the Norman Way Day Centre, Melton.

"I would like to say just how much I appreciate a really great piece of work. We had an excellent response from everyone and I... was particularly pleased with how well the company worked together which, after all, is what it was all about. Good audiences too."
