Adventures In Dystopia

Following on from the success of 'The Trashtown Mystery' (Speakeasy's Interactive Environmental Workshop for schools year 6). Speakeasy are once again working in partnership with the Councils of Derbyshire to bring you 'Adventures in Dystopia', a stimulating and inspirational environmental play and workshop for schools year 8. Not only are all Derbyshire secondary schools eligible to receive this project for FREE, they could also win prizes up to the value of £1000 as part of the project.

An incredible interactive workshop allowing year 3/4 to explore Tudor life first hand. Through exploring a Tudor house, the children meet Lady Catherine and her servant John, who help them discover what it was truly like to live in Tudor times. Explores elements of year 3/4 history through live

characters and projected media.

Journey through the desert and into the pyramids with the mysterious explorer Carter. Can you help him find the last piece of the Pharaoh's treasure? Covering elements of year 3/4 history, this inspirational learning experience combines live characters and projected media to explore the Ancient Egyptian way of life.

Into The Rainforest

Join Jayne as she researches the animals and people that live in the rainforest. Who is cutting down the trees and why? Exploring elements of year 4 science and geography units, this exciting interactive piece encourages children to utilise speaking, listening and teamwork skills to resolve the dilemmas of the rainforest. Will you find the elusive Yanomami tribe?

The Trashtown Mystery

Interactive environmental workshop for Year 6. Help the intergalactic detective solve the mystery of how Trashtown became over-run! Explores the subject of waste management, landfill and recycling in a fun and interactive way.

Consequences

Drug and Alcohol workshop for years 8-10. 60 or 120 minute versions available encouraging students to think about the consequences of all different types of behaviour generated by drug and alcohol use.

Teamwork

60 or 120 minute sessions for year 6-7, raising teamwork and co-operation skills. Ideal for Summer schools, activities weeks, PSHE or drama days. 

 

Macbeth Workshop

Macbeth Workshop

120-minute session to support GCSE studies of Shakespeare's classic. Join 2 professional actors exploring the play in detail.
