Speakeasy Highlights Grandpa’s Garden was a real joy to develop and work on with Speakeasy Theatre Co. The project worked closely to the SEAL programme in schools and achieved incredible responses over the course of a very intensive but extremely rewarding week. St Barnabas Primary School - ‘Sabanrab’ - an ambitious project to impact on an entire school in just one day! Act Up have done a number of fantastic projects through Speakeasy from performing Elektra outside the Phoenix Arts Centre as part of Sparks International Children’s Festival to devising a drama locally with the community of Saffron Lane on their memories of WWII. Next of Kin was my directorial debut working with Movers Learning Disabled Theatre Co. The company have had a string of successful shows carefully guided by Speakeasy Theatre. I look forward to Movers increasing their professional capabilities and being received as a professional Theatre Company in their own right.
